Description: History of the Computer is a really well narrated documentary which traces through the evolution of computers to what they are today. It starts with how Charles Babbage conceived the idea of a programmable machine in 1822, then how Herman Hollerth made the first tabulating machine which he sold to the US census board and the railways, how the British built the Collossus computer to break the German made Enigma machine. Then the story moves to Philadelphia where John Mauchly creates the Eniac machine to accurately calculate the trajectory of the guns and small tanks and how John von Neumann creates the architecture for modern computers. Then we move on to the emergence of IBM, miniaturization of the computer because of the invention of the transistor and integrated circuits and finally the developement of Microprocessors and how the first personal computer was created by Steve Wozniak at Apple.
Overall the documentary is pretty well done and would definitely recommend watching it!
