Internet Worm Basics Presentation
|
| |
An Internet Worm is a program which is capable of replicating itself and spreading to other machines, either with or without human intervention. Email worms generally require the user to open an attachment or even run it and belong to the former "with human intervention" category. Worms such as the Blaster which exploit a remote service on the victim machine spread automatically and do not require "human intervention". In this Internet Worm Basics video series, we will look at how a typical worm is coded, how it infects and then finally replicates. This tutorial is meant to impart an understanding of Internet Worm programming. In this first video, we will try to understand the basic functionality of a worm through a presentation. Later videos will focus on the programming aspects of worms. Please download this file, before you view the presentation
