Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) allow registration and use of domains using non-ASCII characters. They have been around for about a decade, with a lot of growth in the last few years. We will provide an overview of IDNs and explore how they are being abused by the Bad Guys. Our research shows that IDNs are currently a higher risk area than traditional ASCII-only domains.
