Description: In IPv6 a single interface can be given multiple IP addresses and depending upon the routability and other parameters the interface will choose the IP address while sending packets. In IPv4 there were only two possible ways for giving IP addresses and those are giving static IP address or giving IP address from the DHCP.
In IPv6 the address space and their by length of the IP address has increases 4 times and this makes assigning and maintaining IP addresses statically or on a DHCP pool difficult. To solve this problem the auto-configuration has been introduced in IPv6. This video explains different ways in which IPv6 terminal can be given addresses…
- Manual
- Autonomous
- Semi-Autonomous
- Stateless server

IPv6-101 video series on SecurityTube.net will start with the basic introduction to IPv6 protocol. This video series will serve as a IPv6 tutorial for beginners and will help as a quick reference for advanced users. I will try to add more and more practical examples and real life scenarios in IPv6 tutorial video series along with the theoretical explanation.
