Description: This is the unofficial story of Kevin Mitnick. Most of us have seen the movie Hackers 2: Takedown, which paints Kevin as a cyber criminal who seems to be breaking into all the systems he can get his hands on and how he finally gets caught by the FBI with the help of Tsutomu Shimomura.
The documentary claims that John Markoff whose claim to fame was largely due to the coverage of the Mitnick story, exaggerated greatly about the crimes commited by Mitnick. Also, it adds that Mitnick was already convicted by the media, even before he could get a fair trial and had to spend years in jail for just copying software which he never even tried to sell. This documentary also talks about the "Free Kevin" movement which tried to stop the making of the Hackers 2 movie, based on all the media lies about Kevin.
The narration is informal but interesting and presents a different side of the story. Also, once you see the full documentary you will see that the punishment did not befit the crime. Overall, the video is a great watch and would recommend it!
