nice vid on basic linux cmds, are you gonna expand on this and do some shell scripting and stuff ?
Hi Thanks for the comments this video was done like year ago but I do plan on doing more for my site on whole range of things. I may try do some basic shell scripting if it will be useful for others.
yeah do it, you got a good clear teaching method, you sound like a londoner ;)
lol I will try do one soon my bash maybe bit rusty tho lol I am from London :)
It is a good idea for those who begin with linux and can remeber commands to others. For shell scripting, it is interesting too.
nice didnt think i would see this video on here. thanks for the video. also for people that want to learn more about linux look into the Linux+ from comptia! im doing mine online and enjoying it. cant wait to finish the course
Also a useful tip to new linux users, use the shred command instead of the rm command to delete files. shred deletes the file and overwrites the file information. a lot more secure then just removing a file as there are forensic tools that could recover the deleted file and obtain its data ;)
I wanted to add some basic video as all the video on here are really good but if you a total newbi it hard knowing where to start.
The shred command is better than rm I agree and thanks for the input.
I will be adding some pretty cool and in depth video once i get my new lab setup.
