Description: Mass transit, communications and engine management (Attack vectors on mass transit). We've been saying the same things for a LONG time, we've beaten the drums of Bluetooth and Wireless to death over the last few years. In 2005 we talked to cars, we had fun with mobile devices, we didn't do much more with it, security sucked then, and it still sucks now. The fact we are still talking about them, and that the actual capabilities of exploitation have grown is alarming. Wireless issues are nothing new, yet we still have critical infrastructure protected by nothing more than the electronic equivalent of a chocolate fireguard. (SCADA anyone?). Time and time again working with clients explaining (again) that their wireless implementations are "challenged" and that the Exec plugged in via Bluetooth to their new Blackberry/iPhone etc is a bad idea, let alone letting them loose inside their vehicle with said technology.
And.....because my young lady wouldn't let me buy the car I test drove, so I decided to see if I could earn the $$ this way, or just hack it and have it follow me home.
